Chairman’s Message: Building Character, Strengthening Our Community.

The world is in flux, and the socio-economic dynamics within our country have changed considerably in recent times. This means that our communities must be resilient and rise above the changes happening around us. Our strength is not in physical might, or in our numbers. It is in our collective intelligence, wisdom, unity, and sense of purpose. We must always strive to lead our lives with dignity and be the best of people within our society in every aspect of life. The ability to communicate and present oneself will be a key difference in the times to come.

Imagine, if an entire community stands out, as one with remarkable character and values. An ummah practising kindness, integrity, humility, and tolerance. And those who seek knowledge, and use it to uplift every sister and brother. The Holy Book gives us the teachings required to shine brightly, even in trying times, and inspire those around us. Such a community can be a magnet to those who desire to be good people. After all, ‘Akhlaq’ is considered the best form of ‘Dawah’.

The expertise of the school lies in dispersing knowledge, facilitating learning, sharing ideal values and developing skills. But good character largely develops only in good company of parents, friends, relatives, one’s neighbourhood and finally one’s school. The effort to create well-rounded future citizens, who are identified by their competence as well as their character; requires that students are encouraged to keep learning even outside the school’s premises.

A wise old African proverb says ‘It takes a village to raise a child’. Raising the children of our community to be the best of people, must therefore be our collective responsibility. Let us resolve to do our part.
